A really challenging piece but not as difficult as my Tomb Raider drawing. Well the asteroids took me a little while but that´s all. The hardest part was the spaceship even though I´ve used a reference. The big problem was that I had to set the shadings entirely new to give it a matching look to the rest of the drawing. Here you can see my references.

I rotated the nebula at 180 degree and the ship a bit too to give it the look like it would fly to the space station.

The rest was entirely done by me. The planet was a mixture between Saturn and Jupiter ;). The frame was added with photoshop (the only thing I added with the PC ). And I thought a space station amongst the ring would be an awesome idea.

Size is A2.
All done with graphite pencils.

The Arrival by *SilentDeath007 Suggester says: "This is one of those rare sci-fi pieces in which you are immediately drawn into. This is a treasure for all sci-fi lovers! The amount of details and the great composition are mind blowing, literally. The artist used very smart placed objects to enhance the sense of scale. And the fact that this is a pencil drawing just multiplied the factor of awesomeness by .. 10 or more." ( Suggested by `gucken and Featured by `MacRebisz )

Wow, so much detail. The shading is done excellently and with so much detail. You have taken a concept that is usually constructed in a digital media and created it using pencil; very successfully I’d like to add. The amount of detail that you have put into every aspect of the drawing really brings it to life. So many different textures make it look 3D,the asteroids in particular.
With so many different things going on in the picture, it has become a little cluttered and in turn it looks kind of messy. I think that if you had left the left upper corner plain it would actually make the landscape feel more vast.
Overall it is an amazing drawing. The amount of time and patients spent on this piece really shows. Awesome job.

Great drawing| I love it! The details are awesome, and the colouring technique is great. But the nebula next to the planet is very strange and the expanse of meteorites seems to be a single surface, not a collection of many objects spaced
